Seal Beach Dial-A-Ride Transportation Program
Low cost, daily shuttle transportation service is available within the city limits to Seal Beach residents Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 2:00pm - 5:00pm. Thursday, the shuttle is available 9:00am - 2:00pm. The shuttle will pick you up from Leisure World and take you to the Ralph's or Target shopping area. From 2:00pm - 5:00pm the shuttle is available to and from anywhere within the City limits on a 1st-come, 1st-serviced basis. For reservations & additional information please call (562) 439-3699.
Senior Lunch Program
Seal Beach Community Services, in cooperation with Community Senior Serv, offers a hot, nutritious meal Monday - Friday at the North Seal Beach Center, located at 3333 St. Cloud Drive. Besides maintaining the physical health of active older adults, the Lunch Program also works to enrich the emotional/physiological health of seniors by sponsoring a wide range of speakers, dancers, games, health forums, and other social and educational activities. Meals, support services and transportation are available to all persons age 60+ on a donation basis.
Open Monday through Friday 8:00am - 2:00pm. Lunch is served 11:30am - 1:00pm. For reservations (2 days in advance), please call (562) 430-6079 between the hours of 11:00am - 1:00pm ONLY.
Home Delivered Meals
For homebound individuals 60+ years of age who are unable to shop and/or prepare meals for themselves, Community Senior Serv delivers three meals directly to their home- breakfast items, a cold lunch, and a frozen dinner. These meals, which provide 100% of the U.S Nutritional Recommended Dietary Allowance, are available five days per week. Suggested donation is $4.50 per day. Senior Tax Assistance
Free assistance for low-income seniors in preparing State and Federal Income Tax returns. Appointments will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Monday mornings February - April, call (562) 431-2527, extension 1344, to make an appointment.
Driver Safety Program
American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) - AARP is an innovative, classroom driver retraining program designed to help older persons improve their driving skills. Covers the effects of aging and medication, basic driving rules, license renewal, local traffic hazards, adverse road conditions, energy saving and accident prevention measures. You may receive an auto insurance discount by completing this course. Registration is required. Call (562) 431-2527, extension 1344, to register or look for class info in the most current issue of Shoreline. Each class is offered on consecutive Thursday mornings 9:00am - 1:00pm. Fee: $12 per person for AARP members/ $14 per person for non-members.

Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP)
Trained counselors are available to assist seniors with Medicare rights and protections. They can help with HMO appeals, with information regarding Medi-Gap Plans and/or Long Term Care information. No fee. For more information, call (714) 560-0424.
In Home Case Management
For older adults who are facing multiple problems, which they cannot resolve on their own, Community Senior Serv Case Managers are available to help them evaluate and find acceptable solutions to their individual needs.
